This is a wonderful opportunity for interns to teach as well as to learn. You will be teaching science, reading, and math, among other subject areas. You will be learning classroom skills, effective interaction with children and parents, and become a part of a multi-cultural, professional staff of educators, social workers, counselors, and many volunteers from local corporations, universities, and the local faith community.
Assist with neighborhood-based after school and/or weekend programs to help youth at-promise to succeed in school and life. Summer Camps are also offered.
Individual and group instruction including technology training for youth ages 5 years through 17 years.
Mentoring, being a positive role model, and demonstrating effective communication skills are very important in this internship position.
